3.1.2.3 Fieldbus Connection

The PROFIBUS interface is designed as a D-Sub connection in accordance

with the US Standard EIA RS 485 for cable linked data transmission.

3 RxD(TxD)-P Transmit (receive) signal

4 RTS Ready To Send

5 GND Supply ground (earth)

6 Vcc Voltage supply

8 RxD(TxD) N Transmit (receive) signal

The electrical isolation between the fieldbus system and the electronics is

achieved by means of DC/DC converters and optocouplers located in the

fieldbus interface.

The fieldbus connection point is designed to permit the node to fit into an 80

mm high switch box once connected.
