8. Immobilize the patient head with the temple supports (3). Tighten the temple supports

using the temple support adjustors.

9. Ask the patient to do the following:

 To close their eyes

 To remain still

 To swallow before the scan

 To place the tongue in contact with the palate

 To breath through the nose
