When staples have jammed in the stapler unit of the optional finisher, the following message
appears:
Examine stapler
Finisher
Close the front cover of the finisher, and
about 10 seconds later, open it again.
. The stapler unit will move to the specified
position.
. Do not remove the stapler unit without
performing the above procedure, or it will be
broken.

Open the front cover of the finisher.

Turn the blue lever 90 degrees to the left
to unlatch the stapler unit and pull out the
stapler unit.

Pull up the stapler unit.
