In today’s competitive business world, information is your greatest advantage. But what can you do
to protect it? The AR-M351/451 has multiple security features to prevent unauthorised access and
secure your data. Providing a choice of output methods (print hold/confidential print) to keep
sensitive information private as well as the ability to completely erase data, the AR-M351/451 brings
you peace of mind.

firewall that prevents direct connection and access by unauthorised users
• Confidential data storage and printing – protects sensitive information by requiring the
user to enter a PIN code before the documents are produced
• Secure data storage for Document Filing – all data that goes through the hard disk is
encrypted, while PIN codes used in the Advanced Filing function ensure solid security
• Auditing mode – keep track of and control the amount of use by employee or department
• User authentication – requires the user to log into the machine before performing any
network scanning operations

Data Security Kit
Digital copier/printers or multifunction products can retain hundreds of pages of confidential
information from previous jobs on their hard disks or internal memory. To prevent these sensitive
records from being recovered by unauthorised persons, the AR-M351/451 can be equipped with the
optional Data Security Kit, which completely encrypts and erases the data generated for each job.
Secure Network Card
The Network Interface provides highly secure operation by restricting access to the AR-M351/451 on
your office network. Only PCs that have either their IP address or MAC (media access control)
address registered are allowed to access, preventing unauthorised use. Also, network port and
protocol management enhances security configuration by making it possible to disable unnecessary
protocols and vulnerable ports.
Print Hold and Confidential Print
To keep others from seeing confidential documents as they are being printed out, the AR-M351/
451’s Print Hold function stores print data on its hard disk and withholds output until the user
executes a print command from the operation panel. For added security, the Confidential Print
function requires the user to enter in a personal identification number at the machine before
printing can begin.
