7 Grasp the cartridge handle and insert
the toner cartridge into the print
compartment, sliding it along the
guides.
• Make sure the cartridge “clicks” into
place.
• Do not touch the roller in the toner
cartridge.
8 Close the side cover (➊), the front
cover (
➋), and the top cover (➌).
• When closing the side cover, press on
the dots to make sure the cover is
completely closed. Otherwise, light may
enter the print compartment and
damage the drum.
• The display will show:
[TONER EXCHANGED?
] /
[
1 = NEW, 2 = OLD]
9 If you installed a new toner cartridge, press to select NEW (this will
reset the toner counter to zero).
• If you temporarily removed and then replaced an old toner cartridge for
maintenance or other reason, press to continue using the previous
toner count. (Note: Be sure to press or the machine will not alert you
when the toner cartridge is out of toner.)
