Sharp’s Advanced Imaging Technologies



The AR-C260P employs a write head with Sharp’s original

4-bit image processing LED.This system is capable of

producing 16-colour gradation

patterns on a single pixel and, working

together with a dither matrix process,

can achieve superb colour fidelity

equivalent to 256 gradations per each

CMYK colour, the same as that of 8-bit

colour devices.This enables you to

create beautiful printouts with

impressive and faithful colour detail.



Automatic Registration helps to provide accurate colour

output every time. A

Colour Image Stabilising System

ensures consistent colour quality over a long period of

time by using feedback sensors to monitor the machine

and make precise adjustments whenever necessary.



Sharp’s newly developed oil-less toner produces vivid,

natural-looking colour documents without leaving a

glossy coating on the

paper’s surface.You can

easily write messages or

paste sticky notes on

printouts even if they

contain many colour

photos.



Thanks to the embedded Network Interface, the AR-

C260P works as a powerful and versatile workgroup

printer.You can extend the power of the AR-C260P to

your entire office network. It also supports 100Base-TX

and 10Base-T Ethernet standards and TCP/IP and IPX/SPX

protocols.And by adding the optional

AR-PK4 PS3

Expansion Kit

, the AR-C260P supports AppleTalk and

allows PostScript printing in the Macintosh OS.

Print Hold and Confidential Print



To keep others from seeing confidential documents as

they are being printed out, the AR-C260P’s

Print Hold

function withholds output until the user arrives at the

machine and executes a print command from the

operation panel. For added security, the

Confidential

function requires the user to enter in a personal

identification number at the machine before printing

can begin.

Layered Security Solution



The embedded Network Interface provides highly secure

printing on your office network.Only PCs that have either

or both their

IP address or MAC (media access control)

address

registered are allowed to use the AR-C260P.

Access from an unknown IP or MAC address will be

denied,preventing unauthorised use.



Digital printers retain print data from previous jobs on their

memory devices.To prevent confidential information from

being recovered by unauthorised persons,the AR-C260P can

be equipped with the optional

AR-FR8 Data Security Kit*,

which

completely erases the data generated from each job.
