Clearing a media jam (con’t)

f. If the printer has residual pieces of media,

clear the pieces of media.

g. If the printer has a sticky substance such as

glue, clean the media path with alcohol and

cleaning paper.

h. If, after performing the stated clearing

activities, you still receive an error message

indicating a jam, contact your service

representative.

Clearing a cutter jam

Procedures

When a cutter jam occurs, typically the cutter unit

blade is stuck.

1. Follow the procedure, clearing a media jam. Be

sure to prevent the print head from contacting

the media.
